Tom holds the titles of General Manager and Director of Personal Training at City Fitness. In addition to being a NSPA certified personal trainer, he teaches kickboxing. Tom is also the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the American University Rugby team.
Tom moved to Washington DC to attend American University, where he earned a degree in International Studies. Originally looking to further his fitness with a part time job at a gym, Tom walked into City Fitness and found a career. The ability to make a positive impact on the health of individuals and see them embrace exercise made the choice easy.
While Tom has trained competitive athletes and many "hardcore" exercisers, he feels it is also important to focus on clients who do not yet understand or enjoy fitness. Helping them get comfortable in the gym, he aims to motivate as well as teach each client how to meet their goals.
