The Proposal
Five years after we met again, Joe popped the question in Taormina, Sicily, while the sun was setting over the Mediterranean Sea and Mount Etna. He got down on bended knee and proposed to me in Italian. I didn't understand much of what he said, but I heard the word sposa and I said, "Yes!"
About the Ring
My engagement ring is designed after a cocktail ring my mother had. When I was growing up, I used to wear it and pretend it was my engagement ring. My wedding band is all about the "bling bling!"

Alison and Joe were married on Sept. 26, 2003
About the Dress
My gown is a very classic Jackie O. type of dress, designed by Oleg Cassini. It was nothing I ever imagined wearing on my wedding day. When I put it on, I felt like a princess. The part I loved most about it is the beautiful traditional mantilla veil it was designed to go with.
