Find out how Alison has been doing since the taping of her Buff Brides episode ended ...
Q: If you didn't reach your weight loss goal before the wedding, have you since reached it?
A: I want to push myself even more. I'm going for another 17 pounds.
Q: Did you gain any weight on your honeymoon?
A: No. Thank God.
Q: What's your favorite body part now?
A: I like my arms and I like my waist.
Q: What's your favorite new piece of clothing?
A: Piece of clothing? Try the entire wardrobe! I went out and bought an entirely new wardrobe and I love every piece in it!
Q: What is your favorite food now that you've gone through the Buff Brides experience?
A: Sushi and chocolate. But I don't eat nearly as much chocolate as I used to.
Q: Do you think you'll be able to maintain your weight and exercise routine now that the wedding has passed?
A: Yes. I'm back in the gym with a trainer two days a week. It's an investment I'm willing to make.
Q: Do you have a favorite new recipe?
A: No. Sorry. I didn't cook my own meals for four months.
Q: How do you feel physically and emotionally now that the Buff Brides experience and your wedding is over?
A: I'm really sad about the Buff Brides experience being over. It was a great memory that accompanied my wedding planning and my wedding. I loved the experience so much that I want to host the show next season! I want to go out there and motivate the new batch of Buff Brides. I wish I had a host do that. As the host of Buff Brides, I would get into a wedding gown and go around to the gyms to visit with the brides during their workouts and root for them. I would love to be the person they could call on when they felt discouraged or when they dropped a dress size.
Physically, I feel amazing after the Buff Brides experience. I felt like an athlete in training for four months. I am stronger, more agile and leaner from the experience. It has truly changed me. I love the gym and actually crave the workouts!
At first I was relieved that the wedding was over, but now I'm sad. It really is an exciting time in your life. All the anticipation that builds up in a year for the big day, the dresses, the tuxedos, the arrangements, I live for that stuff. After all, I do it for a living, but it's different when it's your own. Oh well, on to my next project. I think we’ll buy a house.
