Find out how Alison has been doing since the taping of her Buff Brides episode ended ...
Q: If you didn't reach your weight loss goal before the wedding, have you since reached it?
A: My original goal was to lose 20 pounds by the wedding and then my trainer extended it to 30 pounds. I reached the 20-pound mark about six or eight weeks into the program. I didn't reach the 30-pound mark, but I am still working on getting there!
Q: Did you gain any weight on your honeymoon?
A: I'm not sure if I gained weight on my honeymoon. If I did, it was no more than three or four pounds.
Q: What's your favorite body part now?
A: Now, I think it's still my shoulders, but also my face and neck bones. When I look at all of them together I feel like I can see the most results in those places and it makes me feel really good.
Q: What's your favorite new piece of clothing?
A: My new favorite piece of clothing besides my wedding dress is my pair of size-14 Gap jeans. For the longest time I couldn't even fit into a pair of 16 Gap jeans and all of a sudden I can wear a size 14. I'm so happy! Plus, I love my tighter-than-I-used-to-wear polos and T-shirts!
Q: What is your favorite food now that you've gone through the Buff Brides experience?
A: I think I will forever love a beautiful piece of filet mignon whether I am dieting or not. But one thing that I have begun to love all over again from when I was little is cottage cheese with fruit mixed in. Those little cottage doubles from Breakstone's are WONDERFUL! They are tasty and just enough for a snack or even to go with half a turkey sandwich. Plus, they give you protein and fruit. Who could ask for more?
