Buff Bride Monica's athletic abilities led her to play professional basketball for the National Woman's Basketball Association of Puerto Rico. But after a back injury took her off the court — and out of the gym — for more than six months, she found herself totally out of shape and heavier than she wanted to be.
Shortly after getting the go ahead from her doctors to exercise again, Monica discovered a Buff Brides booth at a bridal show. She immediately signed up and was eager to begin the program. Monica hoped working with a personal trainer and having a wedding to work toward would get her back into the shape she was in during her basketball days.
