Yield: 4 appetizers
Ingredients:
1 pound ahi tuna (No. 1 sashimi grade, center cut)
½ teaspoon sesame oil
1-½ teaspoons soy sauce, low sodium
1 teaspoon ginger root, peeled and minced
1 ounce Maui or Bermuda onion, peeled and minced
2 scallions, chopped
½ sheet nori seaweed or 1 ounce fresh seaweed, chopped
½ teaspoon sambal olek (Vietnamese chili paste)
4 orders hot steamed rice
Method:
- Just before serving, chop ahi tuna into quarter-inch pieces.
- Place chopped tuna in a mixing bowl and add all additional ingredients. Mix well and serve on baked taro chips or with steamed rice. Enjoy.
