“Live Forever,” the theme song of FitTV's
The Gym, was written and performed by the Hollywood-based rock band
98lb Weakling. 98lb Weakling’s sound is the combination of four musicians with diverse musical backgrounds. Lead singer and acoustic guitarist Eric grew up in rural Maine relatively isolated from musical influences; lead guitarist Joerg hails from Germany and previously played in the band Lifehouse; bassist Nate played for Warrant at a young age; and drummer Chris performed in
The Buddy Holly Story on Broadway. In May 2005, the band released their LP
Icons Are From Yesterday. Their new album with Sovereign Artists' all-digital label, Sovereign Digital, will be released Oct. 4. 98lb Weakling is planning a fall tour to promote the new album.
